Liz Hamson

Liz Hamson is the editor of BE News and former editor of PPA award-winning real estate title Property Week. As BE News editor, she writes about issues such as urban logistics and the wider industrial & logistics market. She also regularly moderates high-level roundtable and panel debates at UK and international built environment events.

Jan van den Hogen

Mr. van den Hogen is an inspiring senior real estate professional with a strong affinity towards investment in real estate, specifically logistics and light industrial real property. Mr. van den Hogen is a convinced knowledge sharer, and does so in various networks and communities worldwide. This includes several guest lectures at a variety of universities in Europe, were knowledge, professional aptitude, market insights and managerial expertise are shared with young professionals and high potentials. He is the author of several textbooks in the field of real estate economics and brokerage, and the inspiration and instigator of the REE programme (Real Estate Economics) in the Netherlands. His professional network ranges from facilities-, property-, asset- and portfolio managers to political decision makers, CEO’s of private, public and institutional real estate investment companies, agents of worldwide represented companies, and global operating location and expansion managers from all kind of real estate branches.

Sally Bruer

Sally specialises in EMEA Research & Insight, focusing on logistics & industrial and retail commercial property research. Sally has over 20 years’ experience in research and analysis of logistics & industrial and retail real estate property market dynamics and performance indicators, as well as broader socio-economic and sectoral drivers. Sally has worked with many different types of clients, including investors, developers and occupiers, helping to develop insight and actionable strategies. Prior to joining C&W in 2021, Sally was Head of Research at Tritax Management (specialist fund manager to logistics real estate funds Tritax Big Box REIT plc and Tritax Eurobox plc). Whilst at Tritax, Sally was responsible for analysis of logistics property market and economic/sectoral trends as well as assisting with developing fund management investment strategy. Prior to Tritax, Sally was Head of Industrial Research at Gerald Eve from 2005 to 2017. Sally is a member of Industrial Agents Society, Investment Property Forum and Society of Property Researchers and is past Vice Chair of the Industrial Committee of the British Property Federation.

Marius Kosmann

I have 15 years experience in retail environment. As a Business Developer I am mainly responsible for sales and operations at the company Seybold in DACH an CEE. With over 6000 locations in the retail, system catering, industrial and other sectors managed by Seybold, I am very familiar with all facets of the individual commercial properties and the problems that arise. My overriding goal is to provide customers with time and financial relief through outsourcing to gain more time for their core business. Before I stated at Seybold, I have been working for nearly 10 years as an Area Manager for the company NORMA.

Steffen Walvius

As European Lead for Energy & Carbon consulting, Steffen is helping clients adopt better ESG business practices on the portfolio and asset level. With specialized teams across EMEA, he focuses on services that help improve quality and decarbonize the real estate sector to be net-zero carbon by 2050. He is part of the CRREM committee to develop the framework further. As an active member of the RICS Europe Sustainability Working Group, he helps to embed sustainability in their standards. Steffen has over ten years of international experience in the construction, energy and real estate sectors.

Simon Rispin's

Driven and strategic, Simon has extensive experience of a wide range of projects from inception to completion, specifically in the I+L sectors.
Working nationally in the UK and with a growing workload across the EU, Simon spreads his time across SMR offices in northern England, and time in London alongside supporting clients across the EU.
Key account manager for global online retailers, managerial POC for a number of operator clients and respected industry individual, including:
• Key Account Manager for Amazon, dealing with various geographic offices, and assisting the development of prototype buildings and delivery of over 10M sqft new space across the UK. Lead Architect for AMZL UK.
• Supporting John Lewis Partnership, delivering all non-trade space in the UK including new and existing space. SMR have being primary Architects Practice acting for JLP since 2012.
• Significant experience with multi-chamber operations across the UK, including fit-out works for national retailers RDC and NDC facilities from inception to completion.
• Numerous large-scale site appraisals and major feasibility scheme development.
His forward thinking nature, in depth knowledge of the sector, and entrepreneurial ambition has help SMR grow to in excess of 50 staff.
SMR are a leading I+L architect in the UK, alongside work in the retail and residential sectors

Christoph Tripp

Prof. Dr. Tripp is Professor of Distribution and Retail Logistics at the Technical University of Nuremberg. He has many years of practical and consulting experience in the logistics industry, where he regularly acts as an expert, moderator, interview partner, podcaster, speaker and trainer (www.prof-tripp.de). Mr. Tripp is also the author of the standard teaching book “Distribution and Retail Logistics – Networks and Strategies of Omnichannel Distribution in Retail”, which was published in 2021.

Tom Duncan

As Head of Research, Tom is responsible for setting the research for Cromwell’s international platform, producing investment and strategy research to advise the business and its investors on market and sector opportunities and risks.
He is also responsible for creating thematic-based investment strategies and using his experience in economic and property market analysis to support the investment decision-making process.
Tom joined Cromwell in 2021 from Mayfair Capital, where he spent four years and was latterly Director of Strategy and Innovation, responsible for research across Europe and the UK. Prior to this he spent two years at JLL in the UK as an Associate Director in their Corporate Research team. He also has experience working in Australia in a research role and in property economics with Colliers International and Hill PDA respectively.
Tom Holds Masters degrees in Property Development from the UTS Sydney and Town and Country Planning from the University of Sheffield, as well as a BA in Human Geography from Nottingham Trent University.

Danilo Hunker

Danilo Hunker is responsible for managing and steering Arrow’s investment activities in Germany. He has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, many of them in industrial and logistics properties.

Prior to joining Arrow in 2019, Danilo Hunker worked for Valad Europe / Cromwell for 7 years, most recently as Head of Germany.
Prior to that, he also spent several years in various Senior Asset Manager roles at that time then HIH Hamburgische Immobilien Handlung and Deutsche Real Estate AG. Mr. Hunker holds an MBA from the Bauakademie Biberach and South Bank University London and a business degree from the HTW in Berlin. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Miguel Alperi

Vp of Growth at Architrave GmbH, the European leader in software for Real Estate Document and Asset Management.

Previously, he founded Arex, a company that was later acquired by Architrave and that aimed to establish the foremost global marketplace for real estate investment. Miguel’s expertise is leveraging technology for the real estate sector has garnered recognition from prestigious institutions such as Forbes, Colliers, Techstars, CBRE, and the European Commission.

Furthermore, he actively participates as a researcher, speaker and lecturer for the Advanced Program for Innovation in the Real Estate Industry at IE.

Darya Frolova

Darya is a Senior Associate Researcher at CBRE IM EMEA. Based in Amsterdam, she provides coverage and insights into the Dutch real estate markets.
Darya also supports research and strategy for portfolios and transactions focused on the Netherlands. She is an author of white papers focusing on the retail and urban logistics, providing latest trend analysis and thought leadership.

Tomas Picha

Tomas is a Senior Director of Transactions in Central & Eastern Europe at INVESCO REAL ESTATE and is based in Prague. IRE belongs to the largest independent global Fund Managers with more than USD 1,3 trillions of AUM and Tomas oversees their direct real estate investments in Czech Republic, Poland and other Eastern markets where IRE has an investment interest. Graduated in the University of Economics in Prague and has more than 20 years of experience in real estate investments with focus on CEE markets.

Dr Paul Toyne

Dr Paul Toyne leads the global architecture and design practice Grimshaw on sustainability, overseeing their goals of net zero carbon ready designs by the end of 2025 and truly sustainable and regenerative designs by 2030. Paul’s project experience covers all elements of the built environment, from flagship buildings/developments to infrastructure. He has a PhD in ecology from Imperial College and has a butterfly named after him.

Sam McGirr

Sam co-founded Bloom having started his career at London investment agency GN2. After leaving GN2 Sam moved to North America and worked at mixed-use developer, FORME Development, in Vancouver and Los Angeles. He also has an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading.

Tom Davies

Tom co-founded Bloom after five years of development, asset management, and investment experience FTSE 100 REIT SEGRO Plc. He was then CEO and Co-founder of a data analytics PropTech start-up named GeoHood with Antler VC, and has an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading. Tom is super passionate about e-commerce, last mile logistics, q-commerce, warehousing and PropTech.

Lars Bohe

Lars Bohe, Principal, Mirastar is a principal in the investment team and works across standing investments, funding deals and developments across the platform.
Previously he worked in different roles at HIH Invest Real Estate, one of the leading investment managers for real estate in Germany. Most recently, he has worked as the Head of Transaction Management Logistics, responsible for the European investment activities within the sector.
Lars completed his master’s degree in Real Estate Investment and Finance at Henley Business School and holds an Executive MBA in International Real Estate from IREBS Immobilienakademie.

Raimund Paetzmann

Raimund Paetzmann is renowned as an-Commerce trailblazer, joining Amazon during its foundational European years in 1999.
Raimund played an instrumental role in establishing the first European E-Commerce delivery network (4m sqm), setting a precedent for customers to receive their packages as early as the next day—a concept that, while standard today, was groundbreaking at the time.
He also expanded the fulfillment center network for Zalando, ensuring next-day deliveries to many of their 50 million customers in Europe.
Raimund is a distinguished independent consultant, trusted advisor, and keynote speaker with expertise in E-Commerce, real estate, and digitalization, striving for a sustainable future.

Bert Hesselink

Bert Hesselink is Group Client Relationship Director at CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer and operator of industrial, logistics and high-tech business parks. Bert has more than 20 years of international experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on business development, strategy and innovation.Bert’s passion is to create better communities by making a positive contribution to the quality of the built-up environment and developing better spaces for businesses and people. Bert leads CTP’s client relationship program, supporting their clients’ sustainable growth and benefitting local and regional economies. Bert also lectures on Innovations and Real Estate at the University of Economics in Prague, and chairs the Real Estate Council at the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, where he actively advocates for a better business climate.
